Born 1970 in Palembang, South Sumatra. Indonesia. He moved to Yogjakarta when he was 16 and attended the Modern School of Design one year.
Autodidact painter, he currently lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark.

“I work with acrylic on canvas and use letters and words to compose the motif and to tell a story. I get inspired by daily life, life in general, and the experiences a human being gets through a lifetime. It is the words / poems that is the starting point of my paintings, and those which direct the motif. The motif does so to represent the story that I like to tell.”
"In a cold country, life can be very difficult, especially in the middle of winter. In Indonesia, I smile all the time, but here in the Danish winter, I cannot smile, because my mouth is frozen!"
